Another round of cold winter days
has led to the inevitable feelings of cabin fever.
Feeling unsettled. Feeling cooped up.
Add to that a dose of 40-something contemplation of life.
Where I’ve been.
What I’ve done…and not done.
Dreams delayed.
Different ventures pursued.
Thankfully, I remembered the key.
I cracked open my Bible.
Heard from the Lord.
The sun came out.
Good people (even strangers) said just the right thing to brighten my day.
And then….
stepping out of my “funky mood”
to do something I love–
playing and singing music with some amazing friends.
So….no more cabin fever.
Instead….MORE of Jesus.
More music that uplifts.
More time with good people.
More of living this life!
Yes, and AMEN!!
Energizes me.
Makes me thrive.
Keeps me alive.
It’s hope….confident hope…
in life eternal.
A new day dawns.
Old ways abandoned.
Life in Light.
Abiding in Love.
Living. Loving.
Joyful. Peaceful.
